Celebrity Representations.
The way in Which Katie Hopkins represents herself using social media is a big issue in terms of controversy and the way her tweets come across to the people following her on Twitter and her wider audience. From this individual tweet Katie Hopkins is summarizing herself up by this tweet as the wider audience who analyse this tweet correctly can get the impression that she is a racist and a very disturbed individual.

Fast and Furious Print Analysis
As I you can see from the very first fast and furious print(Posters) it has started off with a rather dark contrast, outlining more of the racing theme implementing the car in the middle in bright bold powerful colours is a useful technique as it helps for the main focus of the film which the car to stand out. For the very first poster that they have used in the fast and furious trilogy they have made the characters involved within this film a black and white contrast so that the main body of this print which is the car to stand out more. As you can see right up to F&F7 the posters have become much brighter and less focused on the base theme of Fast and Furious which is the cars.In my opinion the fast and furious trioligy has become very action based and less focused on the racing elements.

Product Company Investigation.
Company Analysis
Warner
Bros- From the description of the Warner Bros Logo, I can see that
they have used a clear sky background for simplicity and effectiveness they
have also used the clear sky background because it stands out and catches the attention of the viewer and is easily recognizable from a reasonable distance. Also
showing the WB Logo in front of the Clouds is an effective technique to use
because it’s bright and eye catchy. Furthermore, they have also used their logo
in front of the clouds to represent power and eternity. Warner Bros. Entertainment
Inc. (commonly called Warner Bros. or WB) is an American producer of film,
television, and music entertainment. As one of the major film studios, it is a
subsidiary of Time Warner, with its headquarters in Burbank, California and
another in New York, New York. The Warner Bros. logo has always had the
same basic premise: It's a shield floating in the clouds stamped with the
initials W.B. Everyone knows it, and looking back at old Warner Bros. movies,
it's tempting to say that it basically hasn't changed over the years: The
emblem you see at the beginning of a movie today seems virtually identical to
the one you would have seen 60 years ago.
Sony
Pictures- This logo is similar to the Warner bros logo in a sense of
the similar techniques used to be simple and effective and create a grotesque
effect with little graphic importations being used. The bright high contrasted
effects on the right side of the picture is very good because it fades into a
low contrasted shade of dark blue to make up the majority of the Sony pictures
logo. Likewise, this is very eye catchy and makes the image stand out very
much. I feel as if Sony Pictures are urging the viewer to be really captivated
by their image and have an affirmative view of their Logo. In my judgement this
image is suitable and effective for all ages because it’s clear and tranquil
and easy to remember. The Bold text dictating the logo gives this image a
fantastic look. This is done deliberately to draw the intended audience to the
product name (Logo) and it appeals to viewers around the world day in and day out.
To conclude, the lines down the middle of the Sony pictures logo gives this
logo effect because it’s different from other company production Logos
furthermore, it’s a simple use of playing with the Logo to make influence and
to make it stand out.
Walt
Disney- Walt Disney pictures is a mainly children’s audience based
film company. Unlike the other company Logos above, this Walt Disney logo is
quiet imaginative and intellectual. My own opinion on this logo is that it is
very effective because it aims its Logo at children in particularly. Walt
Disney have used a castle as their main brand image logo because it appeals to
the target audience(Children) also the castle gives a sense of fun and joy because
some kids like castles and it will catch their attention after seeing this logo
in a film or on TV. This Logo has Curly Tangled font. This font implicates that
Walt’s main target were children and not too much Adults. On the other hand,
the Font is clear and understandable and is suitable for all ages which is an
advantage for Disney. Walt Disney’s logo is very powerful and automatically
implicates a message to the viewer and all in all it’s just a very good Logo.
Overall
Overall to conclude my logo research, I have decided that I
will keep things simple and effective so that my logo has an extrovert contrast
and will be suitable for all ages. From my research the majority of the big
film companies have a simple effective logo because they stand out to me and
you and many other viewers across the world and the logos are bold and
energetic and prevailing which appeals to us day in and day out. So because I want
my logo to follow in the footsteps of the big companies I am going to make my
logo as simple as possible.

Misfits
Overview
This show is just so very British. It's all about the
characters which are weird, lively and likeable. Yes, 10 minutes into the first
episode (that's why this is not really a spoiler) they and a lot of other
people each receive unique powers ranging from incredibly mighty to ridiculous.
But instead of becoming a "Heroes" clone it centres on these young
protagonists and makes you care about them.
Misfits
Target Audience
The target audience for the TV programme Misfits is
teenagers. This is because of many different reasons, one of them being the
different themes portrayed in the program. In the programme there are many
different violent and sexual scenes. These types of themes appeal to the target
audience of teenagers as they find them exciting and will be able to relate to
them as they may have experienced such happenings themselves. Another way this programme
is target at teenagers is through the clothing and fashion worn by different
characters. To teenagers, the latest fashion and styles are very important to them,
as it boosts their social status, making them more popular. Therefore, in this programme,
the characters all wear stylish and up to date clothing, as it makes the programme
more glamorised to the target audience.
Reviews of Misfits
Misfits has positive reviews everywhere. The Telegraph have
said it’s a 4.5 out of 5 and they have also said this: Starring none of its
original cast, E4's Asbo superheroes drama Misfits has become the ‘Sugababes’
of the TV world. That it remains so popular is therefore a testament to not
only the inventive and scabrously worded script but also the zesty new cast for
whom replacing the likes of Robert Sheehan and Iwan Rheon was no easy task. The
excellent Joseph Gilgun (This Is England), brought in after Sheehan decided to
call it a day at the end of the second series, has in fact come to embody
latter-day Misfits: cocky, louche – and a bit awkward to watch.

The
Big Bang Theory
The Big Bang Theory is an American sitcom created by Chuck
Lorre and Bill Prady, both of whom serve as executive producers on the show
along with Steven Molaro. All three also serve as head writers. It premiered on
CBS on September 24, 2007.] The eighth season premiered on September 22, 2014.
The show is primarily centered on five characters living in
Pasadena, California: roommates Leonard Hofstadter and Sheldon Cooper, both
physicists; Penny, a waitress and aspiring actress who lives across the hall;
and Leonard and Sheldon's equally geeky and socially awkward friends and
co-workers, aerospace engineer Howard Wolowitz and astrophysicist Raj
Koothrappali. The geekiness and intellect of the four guys is contrasted for
comic effect with Penny's social skills and common sense.
The
show's initial pilot, developed for the 2006–07 television season, was
substantially different from its current form. The only characters from the
initial pilot that were kept for the reshot pilot for the series were Leonard
and Sheldon (portrayed by Johnny Galecki and Jim Parsons, respectively, and named
after Sheldon Leonard). The cast was rounded off by two female leads: Canadian
actress Amanda Walsh as Katie, "a street-hardened, tough-as-nails, woman
with a vulnerable interior" who the boys meet after she breaks up with her
boyfriend and invite to live in their apartment (Katie was replaced by Penny,
portrayed by Kaley Cuoco, in the second pilot); and Iris Bahr as Gilda, a
scientist colleague and friend of the boys who was threatened by Katie's
presence. The initial pilot used Thomas Dolby's hit "She Blinded Me with
Science" as theme music.
The
series was not picked up, but the creators were given an opportunity to retool
the show and produce a second pilot. They brought in the remaining cast and
retooled the show to its final format. The original unaired pilot has never
been officially released, but it has circulated on the Internet. On the
evolution of the show, Chuck Lorre said, "We did the 'Big Bang Pilot'
about two and a half years ago, and it sucked... but there were two remarkable
things that worked perfectly, and that was Johnny and Jim. We rewrote the thing
entirely, and then we were blessed with Kaley and Simon and Kunal." As to
whether the world will ever see that original pilot, maybe on a future DVD
release, Lorre said, "Wow that would be something, we will see. Show your
failures.

The
Inbetweeners
The Inbetweeners is a British sitcom that originally aired
on E4 from 2008 to 2010. Created and written by Damon Beesley and Iain Morris,
the show followed the life of suburban teenager Will McKenzie (Simon Bird) and
his three friends at the fictional Rudge Park Comprehensive. The episodes
involved situations of school bullying, broken family life, indifferent school
staff, male bonding, and largely failed sexual encounters.
The four main characters are seen in every episode as well
as the 2011 and 2014 movies. They consist of:
Will McKenzie-(Simon Bird) is the show's principal
character, with his voiceover introducing and concluding each episode. In the
first episode he has transferred from a private school, after his parents'
divorce, to Rudge Park Comprehensive, where he eventually befriends the others.
He is an unconventional hero – although he is generally the wittiest and most
level-headed of the group, he is prone to making bad choices and his sarcasm
occasionally leads to his making outrageous and offensive remarks. Will is
bright, focused and eager to get into a good university. However, he is shown
to be romantically frustrated, and pessimistic about his chances, due to his
awareness of his lack of any kind of coolness.
Jay Cartwright-(James Buckley) is the most immature and
arrogant of the boys. He is also the most vulgar of the group and harbours a
generally misogynistic outlook. He is obsessed with sex, with almost all his
comments being about the subject. In his mind, he is the most sexually
experienced of the group. He frequently tells wild and fictional stories about
his experiences (sexual or otherwise), and handing out highly dubious advice
which demonstrates that in reality he has very little understanding of the
subject. In fact he is the least sexually experienced of the group, frequently
relying on pornography to attain gratification, as he finds it difficult
engaging with girls. In addition to his sexual stories, Jay compulsively lies
about just about anything to make himself seem cooler, no matter how wildly
unbelievable.

Simon Cooper-(Joe Thomas) is the most cynical and grumpy of
the group, being prone to bouts of hysterical swearing at the slightest
provocation – such as gentle goading, family rules, or even kindly advice –
from his family or peers. However, he is also shown in several scenes to be the
friendliest and most trustworthy member of the group, and he maintains a closer
relationship with Will than any of the others. Simon considers himself to be
the most romantic of the boys, his on-off relationship with Carli propelling
many of the plots.
Neil Sutherland-(Blake Harrison) is known to be the slow,
somewhat dim-witted and gullible "nice guy" member of the group. He
often fails to appreciate he is responsible for the bad situations he causes,
and fails to pick up on sarcasm, often taking comments seriously and
consistently believes Jay's compulsive and blatant lies. Neil's simpler mind
means he is often happy and positive as well as more accepting of Will and he
displays less of the selfishness and obsession with sex as the others. He tends
to be the most successful with girls of the four.
Inbetweeners
Target Audience
The 'Inbetweeners' uses dissimilar features to charm to its
target audience. Its target audience is young people aged 15-25. This can be
seen from its use of young characters and its implementation of the characters
within a modern social and school environment Firstly, the use of clothes on
the main characters in the segment, help
appeal to the target audience. The referent of the main characters clothes, are what would normally be considered
‘trendy’ or 'in fashion 'clothing. This signifies that as these characters are
‘trendy’ in appearance this show must also be ‘trendy.’ This is a marketing
technique used to engage the target audience more so as it makes the characters
seem more appealing, and more people can relate to them. The suburban setting of the show also remains
appealing for many, as this again enables more people to relate to it. This
setting also signifies a more realistic element to the show, which in turn
makes it more immersive. The performance
within the show is appealing as the comedic value of it offers a sense of
escapism. Furthermore, the crude humour used in the show appeals to the target
audience far more than other comedy shows. The fact that this humour is also
used in the context of situations, (like
having an embarrassing first car) further assists in enabling more people to
relate to it and it is overall more appealing for the target audience.
Finally, the lighting is kept fairly high key. This is to
fit in with the genre and humour of the programme, to plea to and entertain the
target audience. This appeals to the target audience as they find that with
this they can simply watch this show, be entertained and laugh at it, without
taking it too seriously. This shows target audience as they, (young people aged
15-25), are people who are stereotypically thought to enjoy comedy shows more
than drama. In conclusion, this show uses multiple aspects to appeal to its
target audience, entertain audience, and to overall immerse the target audience
in the programme more. This is achieved successfully as the show occurs in a
realistic suburban environment. Given the regularity of this setting, this
creates another easily forged link that the audience can form between
themselves and the show, making the events and occurrences more relative and
ultimately making the show more immersive and entertaining.

For my coursework, I have decided to do the Silver Lining
productions brief. Due to the fact, that the brief Silver Linings Producers:
fly on the wall documentaries for example Inbetweeners and the Simpsons that
have a comedy implemented drama aspect of their programmes, and also a high
competitive Drama Game show like Big Brother is the exact same aspect I am
aiming for my programme to achieve.
The brief states that the programme has to be similar to
E4's demographic of 15-35 year olds and will be suitable for before the
watershed time of 9:00 p.m. So consequently I will not be including any
swearing or cursing used in my programme otherwise I could get in trouble and
even worse end up with complaints from the viewers. Also some people might get
offended by the words stated in my programme if it’s not suitable for them or
for religious purposes.
In this Brief, I have chosen the first Broadcasting task
that is stated. I have chosen this task because I feel that I could carry out
this task to a high standard.
My audience for this coursework will be 15-30 year old
males. I have chosen this age range because I feel that my show will keep men
at this age range entertained and enthusiastic to watch my programme.

Silver Lining Final Logo
This image is my final selected piece. I have chosen Brief One which is the Silver Lining Productions. Furthermore, the Brief goes on to state that i work for silver linings a Multi-media production company that has had recent television success with fly on the wall documentaries, structured reality programming and fiction products. They have also developed supporting media for their broadcast productions in print, audio and e-media.
Here is my Logo design which is Silver Lining productions. The Silver lining company is aimed at ages between 13 on wards because it has mature themes that young teens/ adults will be able to understand and enjoy. In my product for Silver Linings it will be a Comedy/Drama so all ages will be able to benefit and not get board watching my clip. However i also have to keep it suitable for the adults as they don't want it to be too boring either. Moreover, I have chosen my Logo to be structured out in this context because its simple and effective and people will remember the Logo and will be more appealed to the image over time. The background of my Logo also makes it stand out more so the reason why i have chosen a bright background is because i want it to catch the eye of the target audience more.
My Silver Lining Designs
These designs are not the final piece its just an insight as to what i'm planning to do for my final Logo.
